If you’ve already booked a ride on monTransport.com and your flight or train is delayed, here’s what you need to know and do.
Understand the “Tolerated delay” policy
Every Bid includes a “Tolerated delay” period, which defines how long your driver is willing to wait if your flight or train is delayed.
- This delay window is defined by the Transport Provider and varies from one Bid to another.
- It starts from the original scheduled pickup time.
You can find the Tolerated delay:
- On the Booking summary page and in your confirmation email
- In the Bid details on the search results page, before you confirm your booking.
What if the delay exceeds the tolerated time?
If your flight or train is delayed beyond the Tolerated delay, here’s what you should do:
- Contact your Transport Provider immediately to inform them and check if they can wait longer.
- You’ll find their Contact details in your Booking summary within your account.
Important:
- If you do not notify the Transport Provider and exceed the Tolerated delay, they may leave the pickup location.
- Providers often have another booking scheduled soon after yours and may not be able to accommodate longer waits.
💡 Tips for future bookings
To minimize the risk of disruptions due to travel delays:
- Always enter your flight or train number when booking — this allows the provider to track delays in real time.
- Consider selecting Bids with a longer or unlimited Tolerated delay, especially for Airport or Train station pickups — even if slightly more expensive, they provide peace of mind.
